![]() ![]() | ![]() Newsletter ArchiveThe Hours, BFF (except when it comes to our wine), and Wine for Art's Sake THE HOURS Sorry, we skipped a week with the newsletter. For the handful of you that expressed concern that we we're going out of business, fear not, we live on to sell wine another day. In fact, just to be saucy, we're even going to EXPAND our hours. Yes, oh yes, we dare change. Starting on Thursday, July 26th, our hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday only will expand to 11pm. The weekly $15 Friday tasting will remain in tact from 5:30-8:30, but wines by the glass will be available afterwards until 11pm. Hooray! Cavort! In fact, what convinced us to make this change was not the dozens of customers who asked us to stay open later, it was the one couple who expressed fear that their trusty 8:45pm last call shout wouldn't get them home at a reasonable hour anymore. Sorry, guys. We'll fake an early last call for you if you prefer.

POLL BOOTH - BFF Alright, we're going to start analyzing the polls on our homepage with presidential-election-pollster-precision (maybe that wasn't the most solid reference), but you get what we mean. The last poll asked, on average, how many glasses of wine a night the reader drank. Well the results are in: 48% of you said two glasses a night, 18% of you said three glasses a night, 9% of you said a full a bottle a night, and 23% of you were just out-and-out lying with the "one glass a night" answer. Come on. New poll: You're having friends over for dinner, you're really into wine and they're not... do you go for the nice stuff on your wine rack or do you 'dumb it down' and grab some of the simpler stuff? You wouldn't believe how much this comes up in our store. The debate is essentially, do you believe that good wine can only be appreciated by someone who has been tasting wine for awhile, or can it be properly enjoyed by all? We're gonna hold our tongue on this one and see what the results bring. CLICK HERE to take the poll, or CLICK HERE to go to our blog and post your own opinion on this topic.
